VoiceWell · Private beta
Your voice stays on your Mac.
Privacy information for the current VoiceWell beta and this website. Last updated October 29, 2026.
The Mac app
VoiceWell processes your selected microphone locally. It does not record voice to files, upload voice, use cloud audio processing or include analytics. Microphone capture starts only after you choose Start and grant macOS permission. Device choices and app preferences are stored locally.
VoiceWell sends processed sound to the virtual device you select. Apps that capture that device have their own recording, transcription and network behavior. Their privacy policies apply to what you choose to send them.
Website hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify. Normal HTTP requests can include your IP address, browser information and requested pages in hosting/security logs. This site has no advertising trackers, third-party embedded media or analytics scripts. Assets are served from the site itself. Netlify’s own privacy policy explains its service processing.
Beta and support requests
The optional form sends your email, selected request type and message to Netlify Forms, where VoiceWell’s site administrator can access it for beta or support follow-up. Don’t send voice recordings, passwords, signing keys or other sensitive information. There is no audio-upload field. You can request deletion of a prior submission through the support form; identify the email used, without adding more sensitive information.
Software updates
A public update service is not live yet. The prepared updater uses HTTPS and signed update metadata, with explicit checks and installation consent. Release readiness will be listed on the release status page. App-update requests will disclose ordinary connection metadata to the update host; they will not contain microphone audio. Optional updater system profiling is disabled.
